🚨Lifebuoy tampered with 🚨

This evening at 21.40hrs we received a callout, about a person tampering with the lifebuoys out along the Mornington coast line. We immediately dispatched our mobile 2 vehicle to the area. Upon arrival the crew came across numerous lifebuoys damage and a lifebuoy housing taken off its pole. The crew immediately went about fixing up all lifebuoys and restaging them in their housing.

This is a constant ongoing incident in which all lifebuoys are being damaged multiple times a week.This behaviour can cause someone in difficulty in the river to lose their lives because of such mindless behaviour.

We would like to ask you the public to report such persons if spotted and if possible even capture a photo/video of said persons in the act and report it immediately to Laytown or Ashbourne Gardai station.

Gardai have been notified and pictures have been sent on from the various incidents that has occurred in the area. Including pictures of the Individual doing it.
